Columbia Black Garlic was born out of the founders desire to heal from digestive issues using healthy superfoods instead of medicine.
After successfully using Black Garlic as a part of a healing program,it quickly became apparent that others would enjoy it and benefit from it as well.

Black Garlic is still going strong nearly five years later.
Most people we meet have never heard of this wonderful food. We'll cover the basics here.
We always start with certified organic garlic. Either grown right here in The Columbia Gorge, or in the farmlands of California.
Over a period of approximately 40 days, the garlic is subjected to low heat and high humidity. This process slowly causes the garlic to caramelize into dark, mellow, sweet and squishy flavor bombs.
The tasty morsels are dehydrated and processed into a flavor packed powder, to which sea salt and other herbs and spices are added.
Columbia Black Garlic is not only used as a delicious condiment - but also medicinally as it's health benefits outweigh regular garlic.
Our Black Garlic Powder (link) is a must-have for foodies who want to add their own spices and salt.
If you're looking for a ready to go flavor experience, we've got you covered as well with our spice blends.
Our best selling Sea Salt blend, mixed at a 70/30 garlic-to-salt ratio, is perfect for anything and everything you want to season. (even desserts)
If southwest flavor is your thing, the Fiesta blend is a genius mix of our Black Garlic Sea Salt, mild chile powder, and lime crystals. We suggest trying this on fresh corn, grilled pineapple, watermelon. You can even add it to any citrus cocktails.
If you're really looking to kick it up a notch, our Heatwave blend includes our Black Garlic Sea Salt, smoked paprika and Carolina ghost peppers. Hot, smoky, and savory. This goes great with eggs, meat, cheese, veggies etc. It’s great with a bloody mary as well.
Looking for some comfort food? Our Savory blend boasts our Black Garlic Sea Salt with the addition of dried parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. (just like the song)
We found them at the Hood River Saturday market last year. So happy to see they were still here this year. The black garlic is amazing. Also got a savory spice that contains the black garlic, sage, rosemary, and thyme. Delicious!!! Told hubby he can't eat it all in 2 days!

I am always amazed at the creativity found at a farmers market. It is the best place to find delicious value-added products! I was drawn to a sign that said WHAT THE HECK IS BLACK GARLIC? Loving garlic I had to find out. I was not disappointed. Turns out 2 lovely creative entrepreneurs have managed to turn garlic into black gold. Crazy but true. Find out for yourself.
